My work features acrylic and mixed-media paintings rich in color, texture, and touches of metallic brilliance. I often explore composition and space to guide the viewer’s eye through the piece.

Growing up in Montana, I’m drawn to animals, mystic landscapes, and Native American themes, finding deep personal connection in these subjects.

I blend traditional imagery with abstract and impressionistic settings, inspired by nature, animals, and the spiritual traditions of other cultures. Working in mixed media allows me to create textured, dynamic, and original compositions.

Hansen’s work has earned recognition in juried shows, and she actively supports philanthropic causes through her art.

Linda Short B&W.jpg
Linda Short, Great Falls, MT

Linda Short is a multi-talented artist specializing in scratchboard, alcohol ink, and western wildlife art. Her work expresses her reverence for animals as powerful and stunning creatures. As an artist, Linda believes that being a keen observer is as important as using blades, knives and needles to bring her art to life. She draws inspiration from the natural world and her passion for animals shines through in her work. Through her art, Linda hopes to bring people closer to the beauty and majesty of nature.
